nicUpload - The new official image upload button for nicEdit

Hi,
I'm excited to announce the release of the first version of the nicUpload plugin. A common user request has been an easy way for users to upload images inside nicEdit, this plugin is an attempt at a simple solution that allows users to upload a image and insert it into nicEdit right from the editor panel. Try it out on nicedit.com and in your own applications

Some of the cool things about nicUpload:

• No server software or configuration to change to install it works anywhere nicEdit does
• We handle the details for you and use imageshack to host the images
• Small file size wont slow your editing experience
• Easy for your users (just select a file and go), theres no complex server browsing

FYI, nicUpload is now included by default in the hosted copy of nicEdit but it is an optional component on the nicEditor downloader for those of you who use nicEdit on your own servers. Ether way you go the plugin works the same and no configuration is needed.

yeah i want to know that too. because not all of web always connect internet. then how if the web working offline. nicedit will be useless

I agree with the above commenters. It would be just perfect if the image uploader would give the choice to upload to Imageshack or to the local server.

@Paxa: i had try this, but it get error. i inserted nicVpic.js under nicedit.js. and change serverURI, TMP_DIR, $out[url] as you said. is there anything that i miss about ?? and the gif image for icon can u upload that file too. ty

actually there is some other ppl too who write their own script in this forum to add upload at local folder . but it still got a few problem .

Sorry, i modified few core files. add "valueSourse" to nicEditorAdvancedButton.addForm,

i downloaded the vpic plugin but it is not work. i pasted the advancedbutton section and the vpic button section in the nicedit.js but no luck . dear Paxa kindly give a small note about how it works . or kindly modify it to directly uploade to the uploader.php type. ie in the addpan section give an (input type file ) from there we can directly upload. by pasting the script i got a button add or edit image . when click on it i got the same window to upload image from web itself. kindly give some explanation about the scirpt and work.And great thanks for this script. I also try to build a plugin . Thanks!!

@ranjithsiji : yeah i got same problem. i still dont know how to configure nicEditorAdvancedButton with own params. but i found this thread and it`s work.
